How We Got Here
Oakview IT started as one person solving problems for local businesses in Buffalo, NY and the Southtowns. A website here, a network install there, a server migration when someone else dropped the ball. Word spread, the work kept coming, and it became clear there was a gap in the market.
Most IT companies want to sell you a monthly retainer and manage everything, whether you need it or not. We take a different approach: scope the work, define deliverables, execute, and move on. If you need ongoing support, great - we offer that too. But we never push services you do not need.
Today we handle everything from custom web applications and Docker deployments to Cisco VPN tunnels and structured cabling. The common thread is that businesses come to us with a specific problem, and we solve it cleanly.

Every project starts with a clear scope of work. You know exactly what you are getting, what it costs, and when it will be done before we start.
Vendor-Agnostic
We do not resell hardware or push specific brands for commission. We recommend and deploy whatever is the best fit for your environment - Ubiquiti, Cisco, Meraki, or otherwise.
Direct Communication
You talk to the person doing the work. No ticket queues, no call centers, no waiting three days for a response from a level-one technician.
Ongoing Support When You Need It
We offer managed hosting and support subscriptions for clients who want ongoing coverage, but it is never a requirement to work with us.
